Sunflower

A sunflower (Helianthus annuus) is a tall, vibrant flowering plant known for its large, bright yellow petals that resemble the rays of the sun. The central disc is usually dark brown or deep red, packed with tiny florets that eventually produce seeds. Sunflowers can grow impressively tall, often reaching heights of 6 to 10 feet, with some varieties exceeding 15 feet. Their broad, rough, heart-shaped leaves are arranged in an alternate pattern along the sturdy, green stem.
